A couple of months ago I was asked by John Akhurst to send him a photograph of the statue of "Queen Victoria", that stands in front of the present KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature building.

As it so happens, I am currently training for the "Argus", and so am on the lookout for rides that I could do, that are different from the route I normally use to train. Since I retired, I have also wanted to try and photograph some of the interesting buildings and places, that are dotted around Pietermaritzburg.

So on Wednesday, I set off for a ride through the city in order to photograph "Queen Victoria", and some other places that have caught my interest of late. Please bear with me while you view these photographs, as the software I am using to produce the display is my own, and is still very much under development. You can read more about it if you also read the preamble to my "Dusi" Pics.

The next improvement to the system will be popup boxes containing notes relating to those photographs that that I wish to comment on. If there is a popup, it will automatically appear when the mouse pointer is kept above the thumbnail of the photograph. To view the photograph corresponding to a thumbnail, click on the thumbnail. The photograph will be displayed in another popup box.
