I personally do not think that the deployment of Free Software Foundation (FSF) software will succeed at UKZN. On second thoughts, that should perhaps read, "Why I do not think that the deployment of Free Software Foundation software deserves to succeed at UKZN". The reason is simply that while FSF software is certainly used at UKZN, I am not aware of any significant effort to share it. By that I mean an anonymous ftp site hosting FSF software.
So, from my perspective and limited experience and understanding of the word, it means, "No software ubuntu here" at UKZN. Also see Ubuntulinux ) At the very least, this UKZN anonymous ftp site should be hosting the FSF software that is already being used on the UKZN campuses and probably being downloaded multiple times by various individual users.
