If you have visited my home page you will probably have noticed the web cammera image it contains showing the view of the Umgeni River Valley and the Amber Valley Retirement Villages. You may also have noticed the Shade Cloth lined fence running below the fence of our property. The fence was recently erected to provide some privacy to the residents living in the lowest row of houses (units) of Protea Gardens from the building site that now lies below them, and upon which another row of houses will be built.

The image of a camera shown in the heading of this blog corresponds to the solar powered camera that I recently purchased. The intention was that I would mount the camera on a pole attached to one of our fence posts such the it afforded a view of the building site. It would be then set up to take a photograph every ten minutes which would be uploaded to my web site, much the same as is done for the existing web camera.

However the camera which is still being set up, is mounted on a framework that will see it initially positioned under the roof eaves of our porch. It will face ENE.
