Shakespeare's Seven Ages of Man
(, and his dogs)

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players,
They have their exits and entrances,
(And one man in his lifetime may have many dogs
They too have their exits and entrances,
Each one being different,
Each one being as constant as the others)

The Constant Companions

Spotty, Spotty, Spotty, Stripey, Haemish, Maggie, Seamus, Wallace, Y, Angus, Murray and Fergus. Four Fox, a Rescue, two Irish and five Scottish. All of them Terriers, and all of them their own dogs, all of them creating memories.

Fergus remains, and as of now, Fergus, Edith (my wife) and I are much of the same age. So where to now? Should we invite another Scottie into our home?

A while back we decided that when the time came, the answer would be, "No". The primary reason supporting that decision was that it would save us money. Life would also be simpler. So, when Fergus joined us, that was it.

Fergus joined us when Murray was two years old, and the hope was that these two dogs would be life-long buddies, and that Fergus would be, "The End of the Line".

Of course, as we all well know, "It is easier said than done".

Finally, our sincerest thanks to the Vet at the Howick Veterinary Clinic who dealt with Murray at the end. His empathy and compassion was appreciated.
