Pincushion Protea

While Edith and I were living at 10 Tawny Lane in the Ambers waiting to move into our new cottage at Protea Gardens we (and Murray and Fergus) constantly had bokkies, XXX and Zebras passing by, sometimes stopping to peer over the fence or through a window.

That propmted me to try and capture a couple of pics of these visitors when the visited while we were asleep. To that end I connected a camera and an Infra-red Motion Detector to a Raspberry Pi (single board computer). Once that was done I scrounged the web for Python (Programming Language) code to get this setup running.

The reason that I am revisiting this experience is because I now need to repeat the process in order to interface various sensors to a Raspberry Pi in order to build a Weather Station. Also to retain the references I used.
