When I retired I created a "Home" home page to replace the page that I maintained at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where I was an academic in the Computer Science Department. Shortly after that I was loaned a Davis Weather Station, and that resulted in a weather page. That page was hardly up and running and I set up a web cam that provided a view of Town Hill as seen from our home. I had to do that as the easiest immediate confirmation of what the weather is doing, comes down to "looking out of the window.
